When we arrived in Athens, I had no idea where to start looking for a veterinarian. An expat friend referred me to Kleo. We've been going to her for two years. Kleo is a fantastic veterinarian. When we go to her office, it feels more like visiting a friend, rather than blowing money on my beast. A small part of that is her pricing--her services are crazy-inexpensive. This morning, Bella's full panel of vaccinations (from rabies to hepatitis) cost only 40 euros. Teeth cleaning is 60 euros. She once did a whole slew of health certificate paperwork for us for free.
But, honestly, we don't go to her for her pricing alone (which, again, is insanely cheap). Kleo is competent, and kind. I trust what she tells me. She's thorough, and funny. Her customer service is excellent. She's been available every time we've needed her and always goes above and beyond as a provider.
Her office, Vet Act, is easy to find in Kifisia. There is plenty of close street parking. No appointment is necessary, but it's better if you call in advance to see if she has any scheduled surgeries. Kleo speaks English really well, and is easy to reach by mobile.
This is an unusually specific post for a normally family update-oriented blog, but I'm hoping that people will google "veterinarians in Athens," and find this. If you did, and that's why you're reading this sentence, stop reading and call Kleo. I can't recommend her highly enough.
