(Baby) Mail Call

In the past few weeks, we've been inundated with really nice gifts for our offspring. At some point, I'd like to write a big post showing you all the ways people have helped us get ready for the kid, but I'll give you plenty of warning before I do, in case you want to skip it.

Here are two really nice baby packages mailed to us from the States, with a Valentine in between:

My sister sent us a big box of clothes. Not pictured are adorable little shoes, and a fuzzy, hooded, super-comfortable sleeper bodysuit thing that I'm determined to find in my size. My sister's going to come visit for a few months this summer to help us. I'm very excited. Maybe she will guest blog for us. Will you guest blog for us? Please?

Phil's dad and family sent us this pretty Valentine's Day card. They always manage to find specifically-addressed cards for holidays. It's cool, and very thoughtful.

My cousin sent us a lovely package of baby gifts. She's an exceptionally talented artist. She puts thought into every aspect of her projects. Not only was this box beautifully packaged with the tissue paper and crinkly confetti you can see in the top left of this photo, the gifts themselves were very thoughtful. Every onesie is a different size, from newborn to 9 months.

Included with the package was this beautiful card. She wrote a nice message inside that I'm not going to share because even I like some level of privacy. Those stars were individually cut. I went to the store last week to find a frame for the card so I could put it in the kid's room.

It's a really lovely addition. I keep poking my head in to look at it whenever I walk down the hall.

We're just scratching the surface on the gifts and assistance people have given to us. Thank you for your help. We're very thankful, and we love you a lot.
